Post

By the time Sasha's class had ended, Avery was still at work. He didn't get off for another hour or so, but he was looking forward to hanging out with Sasha later that night and found it hard to be patient. He even went up to his boss, who happened to be a friend of his, and asked to get off early. Of course, he'd been doing that a lot lately so he was denied the request and he went back to work reluctantly. He was sorting out records in the back and to keep his mind off the clock which seemed to crawl by, he tried instead to think about what he was sorting and which ones seemed good to try out on his player back at home.

((No biggie. My notebook is on the fritz so I am sharing comps with J, so I was slow getting my posts out too.))

Sasha could barely concentrate on his work. He was so excited about meeting up with Avery tonight. He went over the contents of his fridge and realized he would have to stop by the store and pick up some snack foods. He wondered what Avery would want to do. He had movies and a chess board. A ton of CDs too. Surely they could find something to do. He was so happy when his day ended and he rushed from class. He ran home and retrieved his bicycle then made his way over to the corner store for some treats.

((sorry for the long wait for a reply. i've been in the middle of moving, getting started with work, and not having reliable internet for a while so it's been rather busy haha!))

Avery nodded to him and waved. "Will do. I'll hit you up when I get home." he promised and headed back to work. He glanced at his phone to check them time and picked up the pace. he had a bright smile on his face as he thought of what he possibly wanted to do with his new friend later on.

"Oh okay good then!" Sasha gave him a large smile, "Then I will see you tonight! Have a great day at work Avery!" He winked at him then turned to make it over to his car, "I can't wait to see you, think about what you want to do."

Saturday, July 16, 2011

"No, no..." he replied as he walked through the door with him. "Don't worry about it, it's actually a nice change of pace for me. It's been a long time since I've been invited over to hang out with someone and it wasn't a house party or something like that." He smiled reassuringly to him.

Post

"Oh...ah," Sasha gave a sheepish grin, "am I being too forward? Geez sorry," he shrugged, "I am just having so much fun with you..."

Avery paused a moment and raised his brow. He hadn't gotten an invitation like that in such a while. Sure they had been talking dates just a minute ago, but they were mostly public outings. He paused a moment and nodded. "That sounds nice...I'd definitely like to" he smiled, and then laughed a little"I should definitely keep you around, just one lunch together and we've already made plans for the next few days..."

Post

"Would you...um...like to come over then?" Sasha hoped he wasn't pushing it, "Watch a movie with me then or some horrible infomercial?" He chuckled as he walked toward the door.

Post

He shrugged and stretched a little. "I've got work for a few more hours, then I'll probably just go home and relax. I didn't have much else planned."

Post

"Good," Sasha placed his money down as well and added a little to the tip, "I'll pick you up, we can ride together if you want," he stood, "whelp, back to class for me. What are you gonna be up to this afternoon?"

Post

Nodding in reply, he adjusted himself to the edge of his seat, beginning to take out his wallet. "Definitely. I should be mostly free over the next week or so...I've got some time off from my job at the restaurant so I'll have more free time." He smiled warmly at him and put the amount he owed on the table as the check came then threw a tip down as well. "I'm rather excited about the dinosaurs actually."

Post

"Yeah, it's a shame at times too," he pulled his hand away slowly then pulled out his cell phone and checked the time, "Oh...this lunch has flown by...I guess we should start packing up," he waved for the waitress and asked for the check, "I really enjoyed myself. I can't wait until we go out. Maybe after the dinosaurs we can get some ice cream or a drink or something?" He shrugged, "Anything you like Avery..." he realized he loved saying his name.

Post

Avery was surprised at the sudden contact but continued the conversation. "Sociology and Psychology mostly. The human brain is so fascinating to me." He leaned forward. "how we think, why we choose to do what we do and how much of it is based on social acceptance or deviance...it's a little freaky sometimes how much our own brain runs our lives on a level we're not even aware of."

Post

Sasha smiled big, the biggest he's given Avery so far, "Oh I love you," he joked, "I love documentaries. I am big on ancient Rome. The emperors were...just...wow..." he reached over and took Avery's hand enthusiastically, "What are you into? What do you watch?" His eyes were twinkling like a kid in a candy store.

Post

" I don't mind the radio music really, but the closest thing to it that I listen to is a lot of the indie stuff." He had eaten most of the food on his plate and glanced at his watch to just keep tabs on time. It was going to be over too soon he felt. "I don't read nearly as often as I should. When I do it's mostly fictional. Though I do find ones that work once in a while, I sometimes have a hard time reading essays and things like that though they're fascinating as hell. I'd rather watch a documentary or go to a seminar than read an essay."

Post

"Oh I think we are going to do well in the movie department! I love dramas and the more obscure movies as well!" Sasha was enjoying his conversation with Avery and he was upset that the lunch was coming close to an end, "We will need to get together and watch a few," he was enjoying himself so much in fact that he realized he hadn't eaten much, "I like funk music and a little jazz, depends on who's playing. I like rock as well, not the loud kind where it just sounds like they are growling into the mic. Closer to the stuff you would hear on the radio. Do you read?"

Post

Avery acknowledged the change of topic and smiled. "I like a lot of different stuff in both respects, but musically I listen to a lot of really hard rock. Like, stuff you could go to a concert to and come home with a broken arm. The show I've invited you to isn't that crazy, just so you know." he assured Sasha quickly and moved to movies. "Movies are a bit harder. I'm picky when it comes to them and most of the ones I like were movies you'd look at the trailer of and it's got the potential to be really good but really bad as well. Most of the time they turn out bad. I think, though, I like a lot of alternate future stories, post apocalypse, things like that. I also like serious drama...not romance, mind you..."

Post

"People just don't seem to get me. I try not to let it bring me down but..." he sighed, "anyway, this conversation is starting to suck!" He chuckled, "Let's talk about something fun! What kind of music do you like? Movies?" Their time together would be over soon and he didn't want the last memory of their lunch to be them lamenting over why they can't find decent men.

Post

Avery stopped smiling and looked at him a little worriedly for a moment. Soon, he smiled. "It certainly doesn't hurt to look, but I find it's easier to see who you're compatible with if you let them come to you. In a way, you see the kind of people you attract to yourself and find out more about yourself that way." Pausing a moment, he thought back on all of the actual relationships he'd had in the past and glanced towards the window. After a moment he laughed. "Though I suppose I can't say my advice holds any real depth to it...considering how many actual relationships I've had since I moved here."

Post

"She is," Sasha sighed, "I probably should miss her more than I do," he shrugged, "anyway...other than her I have never been in a serious relationship that lasted more than a few months. There is always something wrong with me it seems," he gave a little smile, but it was clear he was upset by it, "one said I was too 'girly' another called me 'fake' one said I was too 'needy' and in that relationship I suppose I was..." he took a sip of his drink, "so I gave up on relationships for a long while, just did the one night stand thing then felt like a whore after a few weeks of that. So now I am focusing on school. Maybe I've tried too hard in the past. So I am giving up on looking for love and hoping it just finds me instead," he grinned, "that's the one thing I haven't tried."

Post

Avery watched him a moment, smile turning warm. "She sounds like a wonderful person to make you feel that comfortable." he replied, but didn't ask more about her. He got the feeling that perhaps he didn't want to talk about it, at least right now. "

Post

Sasha laughed, "Ah I see! That makes sense!" He smiled, "It's nice to know you aren't a narrow minded man. I like that a lot. I could never pass for a female nor would I want too, but a few feminine articles never hurt. I don't have any dresses or skirts, but the stuff I do have I think I look good in," he shrugged, "I've only been with one person who I felt comfortable around enough to show...she seemed to find it sexy," his eyes wandered off, thinking of his daughter's mother.

post

Avery laughed a little as well. "I don't suppose you could consider her transsexual, seeing as she only dressed and acted like a woman most of the time but that's how she saw herself. She hated it when I referred to her as simply a man in drag. I think it was because though she saw herself as transsexual, she was afraid of the implications of going through the surgery. she told me "if you have to call me anything, call me a tranny and leave it at that. let them figure out if it's sexual or gender."" He chuckled. "Of course, that sort of thing got a few people riled up over what was the correct term for her." The way he spoke, it wasn't sad or wistful, like he still was in love with the past lover. Avery didn't think he ever was truly in love with her, but she was a wonderful person and he remembered her fondly.

Post

Sasha had placed his chin in his hand as he listened to Avery, "What do you mean by tranny? People use that term in all sorts of ways, good and bad. Was your date Transsexual, Transgender? Or did he just like to dress in drag," he grinned wide, "like me? Because I don't consider myself a tranny in any way, but I love a nice pair of heels and some cute panties," he chuckled.

Post

"My dad and I were strained for a while...I want to say we were mostly awkward but I could tell it went a little deeper than that." He paused and then chuckled a little bit. "I don't suppose I blame him though. If I were him, and my son suddenly came home with a tranny and came out to me I'd be a little more than awkward for a while too. Still, things settled and we get along well. I don't go and see him or my mom as often as I should..." There was a pause as he drank some of his water. "I'm originally from the east coast, so going too many times a year is a bit of a strain monetarily."

Post

"We do and I am very grateful for it. My friend Daniel, oh God, but his dad flipped. Called him every name in the book and then some. Kicked him out and every thing. He moved away, just up and left, didn't tell anyone where he was going. He found me on Facebook though, apologized. We talk a little, but yeah," Sasha nodded, "I know how lucky I am. What about you? If you don't mind me asking...how are things with your family?"

Post

Avery chuckled. "No, it's fine. I love family stories, particularly about parents. He definitely sounds like a good guy." He looked at his plate a minute then back to Sasha. "and it sounds like you two get along really well." He didn't say much more than that, but he was thinking of the strained relationship he had with his own father back home. well, it wasn't too strained. Avery had gone home to visit and brought back with him someone he was seeing at the time (one of the few serious relationships he'd had in the past) who was a tranny. It was the first time he'd come out to his parents.

Post

"Yes and no," Sasha chuckled, "My parents are from here and I was conceived and born here, but they moved when I was still just a baby. So I lived in Florida until I was ten, then my mom and dad broke up," he shrugged, "they weren't married so mom just moved away with me back home. Dad's a good guy, just not father material and he knew that so he didn't protest. My mother passed away five years ago, but my Dad's still around and we get together almost every summer," he chuckled, "He tries to get me to do 'man' stuff," he did the air quotation marks, "and I try to get him to do...well...'gay' stuff," he smiled wide, "We have fun though. I love him to death. Helped him with a car one summer, that was fun, I actually didn't have 'working on the car/yard/house' clothes, which he found amusing. But one summer I got him to go into a gay bar. He was so uncomfortable at first, but once I got a few drinks in him he calmed down and actually danced. Then we made a game out of how many numbers we could get. And you know what? He beat me! I guess there is something to be said about mature men in tight jeans!" He laughed, "Oh my God I'm rambling aren't I?" He smiled, "I'm so sorry!"

Post

Avery paused, thinking he heard Sasha say something but decided he was just hearing things and went back to his food, looking a tad bit busy with his own thoughts They wandered from Sasha's smile to his eyes, to the way they would look at him from underneath while... He stopped that train of thought right htere. After a moment, he looked at Sasha. "Are you originally from here?" He asked as a way to keep his mind from thinking too much about it.

Post

Sasha gave him a charming smile, "Wonderful," he leaned in a bit closer, "I really am looking forward to Sunday Avery. You just keep making me smile," he reached up and touched Avery's chin lightly, "I hope to do the same to you," he dropped his hand then went back to eating.
Sasha was prone to fall head over heels over someone in a matter of seconds and that was clearly happening now with Avery. Though he didn't know anything about him he felt calm and comfortable around him. However, he had vowed to try and take things slower after a nasty showdown and a slap from a guy he had bedded and thought them a couple after just two days. He didn't want to rush things though, but his libido was trying to do the talking for him and all he could seem to focus on was Avery's lips. They way they moved when he talked and ate and God would they look that good wrapped around my-
"Stop it," he whispered under his breath, looking down at his plate, taking the time to calm himself.

Post

Avery nodded a little. "Sure, dinosaurs are cool..." He said cooly then laughed. "I didn't mean to sound uninterested...I do love history and stuff. It's interesting. I'd love to go...especially since I haven't been to the museum in such a long time." After another bite of food, he added, "I also haven't had a date with someone in such a long time. Especially someone as sweet as yourself." He decided it was too late to worry about being a bit forward or honest about how he felt. To be honest, the idea of going on a real date and not just going out to meet somebody just to fuck them was also a very endearing and wonderful idea to him and it was what was luring him into Sasha fast.

Post

Sasha gave Avery a mischievous smirk, "Oh, I love wild concerts," in fact he had just the outfit he wanted to wear already coming to mind, "I can't wait. Two dates in as many days, I must be throwing off something charming," he winked before finally digging into his lunch properly. He took the time to eat for a while before he said, "Did you know the IMAX theater at the museum is having a show about dinosaurs. I have been dying to see it. It is in 3D and while I'm not a fan of that format I would love to see how they brought them to life. It might not be as exciting as a mosh pit fueled concert, but, if  you are free this Sunday afternoon would you like to go with me?" Either way he was going to go, but he would love to share the experience with someone else. Also, it would give him an idea about the other things Avery was into.

Post

Avery gave him a warm smile, finding the embarrassed look on his face rather cute. "It's nothing crazy, but it is one of those bands that do great lives and their fans get a little over-excited..." He said, sort of as a warning. "I was looking for someone to go with me."

Post

Sasha actually didn't remember what show Avery was talking about, but he wasn't about to turn down another chance to see him, "Sure, I'd love to go. Refresh my memory though...what type of show?" He made a sheepish face, clearly embarrassed.

Post

Avery smiled and nodded. "Good to know, definitely...right along with what's your favorite music...There's that show going on tomorrow that I told you about yesterday. You up to going?" He took another bite of his food.

Post

"Just wondering. Seemed like the thing to ask when trying to make a new friend. Right up there with 'what's your favorite color' and 'do you own a pet'," he chuckled, "so anyway, what did you want to do tomorrow night? Oh, and I'm twenty-two by the way."

Post

"Twenty-three." Avery replied without a pause and began eating a little. "Why?"

Post

Sasha shrugged, "Let's see...I have a paper that's due next Wednesday, but my rough draft is due tomorrow, so I...should be free!" he smiled wide, "Why? Are you offering up yet another invitation?" He chuckled as he picked up his fork and started to pick at his food, "Because...I hope you are," he flicked his eyes up to met Avery's, "Hey," he asked suddenly, "how old are you?"

Post

Very suddenly, Avery was captivated by Sasha. He was quiet, but had enough charisma to impress and attract anybody if he so chose. Looking a little dumbstruck, he could only stare at the man sitting across from him for a moment. After a moment he cleared his throat and put a hand to his mouth. Just as he did, their food came and the waitress walked away. "You're...welcome..." he mumbled behind his hand and then reached for his fork. he cleared his throat again. "What...are you doing tomorrow night?"

Post

Sasha blinked a bit, "Oh wow," he grinned, "no one has ever complimented my voice before!" He chuckled, "Well, I am a bit too busy with school to notice if anyone is staring at me," he shrugged, "I haven't gotten any complaints in the past though," he gazed in Avery's eyes as he leaned in a bit closer to him, "I suppose if you think my voice is beautiful though...I should thank you. That is quite the compliment. I'm very flattered," he gave him an openly seductive look, "Thank you Avery," he said his name like he had when they were on the phone, deeply and with a hint of lust.

Post

Avery laughed a little. "I suppose I get my fair share of attention." he replied. "What about you?" He leaned forward now, propping his elbows on the table as he watched the other man's features. "I bet that beautiful voice of yours is bound to get you attention..." he smirked a little and looked into Sasha's eyes. Like Sasha, he supposed he was being a bit forward and assuming things but hey, he started it.

Post

"Oh I doubt that," Sasha smirked, "I can't imagine you not getting compliments regularly. I hope it doesn't freak you out or anything, but you're very handsome. You seem kind and obviously you know how to have a good time. Surely, you're batting the girls..." he cocked a brow, "and or guys off with sticks..." he didn't mean to fish so obviously, but Avery was the kind of guy he would love to openly flirt with. He didn't expect it to go anywhere, but it would be fun none the less and could make their budding friendship a bit more interesting.

Saturday, July 2, 2011

Post

Avery nodded and his smile got a little wider, mostly out of a sheepish kind of impulse. "Well, thank you very much, I'm flattered. Usually it takes going to lunch a few times to get someone to say that to me...or a few drinks." he joked, sipping at his water again. Leaning back in his chair a moment, he looked up at the look that Sasha had in his eyes. He felt a pleasant stir in his stomach from it and looked away before looking back again. Avery noticed that Sasha had a gentle allure to his features that made it hard to look away for very long.

Post

Sasha nodded, acknowledging he was listening, before he changed the subject, "So were you able to make it out to see your friends last night? You seemed so excited about it...I hope you made it," he gave him a soft look, "a smile looks good on you."

Post

Avery paused a minute and looked down at his hands. "oh." He pulled then back a little bit, tucking the fingers in so they were less out in the open. "Um...I'm not much of a painter. " He admitted with a smile. "My boss wanted me to paint a sign for the store front and it turns out the paint stains a little," He lied. the waitress came by and took their orders. After she left, Avery sipped at his water. "I'm just as bad at drawing." He said and laughed a little. "Which is funny considering my mother paints and is amazing at it."

Post

Sasha scanned the menu quickly looking for his favorite, Kao Pad Krapao. It was there, second to last on the chicken side. He smiled and placed down his menu and when he did he noticed the blue staining on Avery's hands. He reached over and flicked his finger playfully, "Someone had fun last night..." he smirked, "so you're into art too? What kind of style or subject do you paint?" He cocked his head, his ponytail flopping to the side, "I can't draw a stick figure," he shrugged.

Post

'Just around the corner.' Came the reply from Avery's phone. He soon appeared and waved to him as he walked up. "hey..." Giving a small smile, he opened the door. "shall we? I don't have much time before my lunch break is up." Inside, they took a seat and were soon given their menus. Avery already knew what he wanted so he didn't bother looking. Instead, his hands, still colored from the tagging spree the night before, were folded on the table and he was watching Sasha.
